Well, it looks like I will be moving to Des Moines pretty soon. It seems to be happening more quickly than I anticipated. I have leads on two different places, both of which seem to be awesome, and both of which are vacant right now. Housewarming to follow. I will invite you once I figure out where this amazing party is actually going to be.

The downside of everything moving so quickly is that my lease in Ames isn’t up, yet. I have a pretty cool apartment on Duff that is just across from Bandshell Park. A Red Line bus stop is just yards away. If you want it or know someone in need of a summer sublease, let me know.

Apparently, the Dillinger Escape Plan show at the Vaudeville Mews got cancelled. Boo. I guess they are opening for Megadeth on tour instead. Intriguing. Hopefully they come back in late summer/early fall. I still want to see them in a venue that size if at all possible.

I finally got Coppermine to resize and import some images, so it looks like I’ll be going that route. So far it is totally unconfigured, and most of the images haven’t been imported, yet. I’m doing the unprofessional thing and going live without completely finishing the customization. Over the next week, things should look better. At least my pictures are finally coming back in a reasonably viewable format.
